Hello,

I am Jessica Gibbs-Amaro a 30-something, South Carolina native in the midst of a never-ending love affair with making a difference everywhere I go.  I am the proud sister of an exceptional women, Christine, the wife and mother to an extraordinary family.  My desire to be agent for change and immersing myself in the unlimited possibilities began as a child, and evolved into a passion that has allowed me to become a woman that has defined made an impact.  I believe my journey began when my sister was born. Christine has William’s Syndrome.  As a child I watched over her, protected her, and learned to lead her. Now, as an adult, that has not changed. We have faced many challenges, struggles, lots of tears, and some grief. But also we have experienced joy and love…. oh so much love.  Over the years I have witnessed parents, other siblings, and educators try to give our special needs love ones the best quality of life possible and as our exceptional love ones begin to age, the social outlets available to them become nonexistent; and the battle to give our exceptional love ones meaningful social experiences begins. Finding events that are geared towards young adults with special needs is a battle! Therefore I have decided to just do something, make this journey just a wee bit easier,  by creating and supporting social outlet that allow our exceptional love ones  to create their own meaningful experiences.

Sincerely,

Jessica E Gibbs-Amaro
